Qualification: M.E/ B.E in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 6 years - 9 years
Skills:
This position is responsible for technical execution of project and generates, develops and releases designs of Electrical/electronics systems for automotive/Construction Equipment. Person will be required to have excellent knowledge of auto electrical/electronic system design and will work hand on project execution.
Responsibility:
Generates design concepts for integration of electrical/electronic system after studying the product profile requirements meeting most cost objectives, schedule by use of layouts and installation drawings.
Produces design and create drawings via solid modeling of wiring harness using pro-e, Including circuit schematic and harness clamping design. Checks and releases drawings and bill of material.
· Defines and develops design features for electrical components to improve functionality and overall product performance utilizing design analysis methods.
· Develops advance design concepts relative to assigned and related projects which will advance acceptance of electrical/electronic system.
· Defines performance and acceptance criterion for Electrical/electronic components and coordinates with sub system supplier to develop components.
· Conduct analysis and determines root causes for issues arising during the design and release process.
· Works on selection of auto electrical components meeting performance and acceptance criterion.
· Provides technical assistance and liaison to other design functions within the company to improve products and resolve problems.
· Write work instruction for prototype and test technicians. Monitor prototype builds and assures proper assembly.
· Review, analyze and report on product parameter compliance via test report, spec sheet and develop action plan to meet compliance if necessary
· Prepares project documentation, and conducts design review at various design phases.
· Supports all after sales activity like service manual and operator manual updation.
· Propose new VA/VE and cost improvement ideas on an ongoing basis.
· Meets all planned dates, their respective schedules and product acceptance targets for the project.
· Estimates and prepares plan for the activity involving auto electrical/electronic integration based on product profile requirements.
· Knowledge of Electrical schematic generation using Saber.
· Knowledge of Pro Cable, 3d modeling, drafting and assembly using Pro E. Exposure to windchill is a must.
· Good knowledge of wiring harness design, detailing and packaging including component selection.
· Knowledge of applicable standard, DFMEA, DFM, DFA and DTC is desirable.
· Working knowledge of Material selection and GD&T will be preferred.
· Knowledge of J1939 architecture will be preferred.
· Knowledge of simulation tools like matlab and C++ will be preferred.
· Must be able to utilize control business system and computer programs such as MS office.
· Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a flair for design.
· Candidates with design experience in heavy/off-road/mobile equipment industry experience in mining, military, marine, automotive, rail and other heavy industrial manufacturing are desired, agriculture and construction industry experience preferred.
· Experience of providing guidance to others will be desirable.
