JOB TITLE: Technical Publications Coordinator - GTC
DEPARTMENT: 174 - Engineering Technical Publications
JOB DESCRIPTION: Coordinate the general aviation aircraft authoring activities between various Engineering Technical Publications Group’s and off-shore associates. Candidate should have an understanding and knowledge of aircraft systems, operation and manufacturing methods. Job duties include:
• Conducts quality checks of completed work packages for accuracy and consistency.
• Manages applicable Tech Pubs/GTC server files.
• Coordinates with group representatives to update procedures accordingly.
• Communicates daily with both on-site and off-shore team members.
• Maintains up-to-date metrics on the progress and status of work.
• Assists team members with document development, coordination and creation of illustrations, and research of applicable engineering using Cessna resources.
• Edits various aviation publications and ensures conformance to specifications.
• Communicating clearly and efficiently in a multi-team setting.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: An aircraft related degree, AME or demonstrated aircraft and/or mechanical aptitude with a minimum of four years aircraft maintenance experience. Requires an understanding of engineering data, with a strong ability to research and analyze engineering drawings. Experience in SGML/XML, Arbortext Editor, CATIA and Adobe software products. Familiarity with ATA specifications helpful. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be detail-focused, well-organized, and customer-oriented. Grade level dependent on experience and/or education.
