Senior Accounts Executive – Textron

Senior Accounts Executive
Major Job responsibilities would include but not limited to
• Revenues Management and Assurance- Billing to all Business units/Legal entities.
• Overall Monitoring on the positions of Accounts Receivable.
• Fixed Assets Management.
• Management of compliance requirements under STPI Regulations.
• Preparation of Local Statutory account, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and variance Analysis of key General Ledger Accounts.
• Management of Prepaid account, Other Liabilities account and Chart of Accounts.
• Monthly reconciliations.
• Coordination with Statutory Auditor, Tax Auditors and Internal Auditors.
• Statutory Compliance – Responsible for compliance under Income Tax Act and other Indirect taxes like VAT and Service tax, and STPI regulations including Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Filing of Professional Tax, PF, STPI and related statutory matters.
• Documentation - Maintenance of all Files and documents in a neat and orderly manner.
• Preparation of MIS Reports.
• Procedures and Process - Assist in preparation of Procedure manuals including process notes, guidelines etc and recommend best practices in the above areas.

Profile required
• A Graduate, preferably a Commerce Graduate with good academic record at least 10-12 years of post – qualification experience in Finance and Accounts.
• CA Articles/ICWA Inter/CA Inter would be an added advantage.
• Should have independently managed the Accounts function for at least 2-3 years.
• Strong working knowledge of Accounting package Tally. Working knowledge of ERP would be an added advantage.
• Creative and a flair to take on challenges with the right attitude and aptitude.
• Strong Computer literacy particularly MS Excel, Word and Power point.
Detailed Jobs and responsibilities
Revenues - Billing to all Business units/Legal entities.
Accounts Receivable
o Overall Monitoring on the positions of Accounts Receivable
o Reporting on Weekly reporting on collections, ageing Analysis on a monthly basis.
• Tax Compliance and forecast including preparation of Company Tax returns
Fixed Assets Management
1. Material Receipt Note duly approved with Purchase order #, Invoice #, Item, Business Unit
2. Material Issue Note with person’s name, Business unit, Bay #, etc.
3. Detailed Stock Ledger
4. Closing Balance of all items
5. Insurance
6. Labeling of all items with suitable codes
7. CST refund
8. IBM Lease files with MIS and related papers duly approved
9. Entry Tax accounting
STPI related matters
1. Import Approval
2. Bonding
3. Maintenance & Updation of all statutory registers
4. Approval from both STPI and Banks
5. FIRC’s
Freight Forwarder’s and Clearing Agents
1. Liaison with the above agencies
2. Clearance of shipments
3. Coordination
4. Transit Insurance
5. Accounts Payable relating to the above
Insurance
1. Intimation regarding Health, Personal Accident and Life Insurance
2. Reconciliation of accounts on a periodical basis (at least once a month)
3. MIS reports on Premium (including prepaid) and deposit
4. Accounts payable relating to the above
Salaries
1. Processing of salaries
2. Related entries into the Accounting ledger
3. MIS
Financials Preparation and Analysis
 Preparation of local statutory accounts.
 Submission of Corporate Trial Balance.
 Preparation of Balance Sheet.
 Preparation of Variance Analysis for Key General Ledger accounts.
 Management of prepaid account.
 Maintenance of Other Liabilities account.
 Maintenance of Chart of Accounts.
 Monthly reconciliations.
 Coordination with Statutory Auditor, Tax Auditors and Internal Auditors.

Statutory Compliance –
